I was fortunate enough to work with Vinnie Paul during his time as a Pearl Artist. Some of the highlights include:
But the last time I saw him was during his surprise visit to Pearl. It was a normal day and all of a sudden a white cadillac pulls up and out steps Vinnie!
He just decided to pop in to say hey and hang out for a bit... no agenda. So we made the rounds and he took pics with everyone... just the classic overly friendly Vinnie that you know and love. Afterwards, we went back to my office and talked for a bit before he left. I’m so glad we grabbed a quick pic...
Vinnie was one-of-kind and definitely made his mark on music and everyone he met.
Rest In Peace... you deserve it.
Pantera in action so NSFW...
Todd Sucherman... truly the ‘Tom Hanks’ of the drum world. He’s seemingly been around forever, everyone loves him on & off stage, and he delivers astounding performances every... single... time. We've known each other since the late 90's and/or early 2000's and he continues to be a real treat to be around.
You’ll witness true musical magic whether it’s the first or forty-seventh time you’ve seen him.
Sorry to hear about the sudden passing of drummer Ben Graves. We worked together in the early 2000's when he was a member of Murderdolls... always pleasant and laser focused on his craft. R.I.P.
We only had a 'phone relationship' until finally meeting in person at the Winter NAMM Show mid-2000's. First thing I noticed was he seemed shorter on the phone :) Ben's 6'7" frame ensured his presence filled whenever room he was in... even the massive Pearl booth we had that particular year. We talked drums, music, and what was going on with him at the time... such a nice guy. R.I.P. Ben
How the heck did I not know this about Procol Harum drummer, BJ Wilson?!?
Forget coffee... listening to those Michael Cartellone beats is how you start a morning!☀️
Look for our Pearl On Location segment with my fellow-Batman brother coming soon...🥁
